The Only Difference in My Vices and Your Vices is How Society Accepts and Approves Certain Behaviors *for Profit*

Vices come in all sorts and sizes. Some people like to eat too much, some people like to drink too much, some people like to post too much on the internet. Personally I prefer stimulants.

Society has long accepted liquor and tobacco to be acceptable vices. As well, oversharing and paying extra on your taxes. What’s tragic about this is the circumstances that led up to these decisions, and for a long time and in a lot of places banned things like marijuana, or harder drugs.

The only difference between a cocaine addiction and loving the four horses that you buy lie in the laws of the land. Each release a certain determined and expected amount of dopamine in our brains.

Truly, people love their pets. They love taking care of them and being responsible for another being. They love petting and interacting with their pets.

Soon, your love for your pets or your cocaine addiction can take priority over your other outlets. They can replace other means and opportunities for you to derive joy.

Indeed, each act in a very certain — and much alike — way in your brain. We look forward to each in the exact same manner neurochemically. In fact, when you try to kick an addiction the very first recommendation is to change your habits and your social circle and try to identify the triggers that lead you to abusing.
