Since the dawn of my adult life I’ve always wanted to blog for a living. What could be better than sharing details about my day and accomplishments, helping others in their pursuits — with work and life? Alas, monetizing your efforts for blogging is a tireless pursuit. As a small publisher, I’ve created a plan of attack that I’ve been following relatively closely for the past few weeks, and it appears to be working… in the future, it’ll work better!

Over on jare.cloud, we have a wordpress installation on my localhost that I use the Simply Static plugin to generate a flat site. I then upload these files to github, which puts my content on dunncreativess.github.io, and then I pull github files down to jare.cloud. During this process, the SteemPress WordPress plugin has published the work on SteemIt… albeit without the supporting images, who think they should be located on . D’oh!

While the revenues are small, it’s 0-effort revenues — the best kind!

Now, I’ve been attempting to get onto Google AdSense to serve ads on my site. All told, a niche blog (or a few niches…) should earn anywhere from $2.50-$10 / 1000 impressions, and my goal is to keep creating return visitors through all these efforts. I applied sometime over the holidays and was rejected on the 3rd of Jan, and I didn’t really understand the reason for rejection…
